There may be office situations that are pressing or with pressure: and this may warrant shouting at those or whoever is at fault.

Now, if a married staff has done something wrong or did not deliver properly, do not shout or openly complain when his or her spouse is present in the office: maybe for a visit or whatever. You may have to wait for the spouse to leave before you may do such if it warrants it.

If the issue is big, you also need to follow due process instead of making a married staff probably looking low in the presence of their spouse.

This should be common courtesy, but a lot of bosses allow their office to get into their heads so much that they even take pride in humiliating their staff in front of the spouses and sometimes even children.

Why would any reasonable person raise his voice on a staff in a corporate setup

As courtesy demands. I love the idea.

One of the reasons many companies don't encourage husband & wife in same company, especially same branch or department.

A little argument or misunderstanding with a colleague in the office can escalate if the spouse is present.

Why would you shout on your staff in the first place when you are a garage tout?

I’ve worked with both bosses who shout and those who don’t. Having held senior roles for years with people reporting to me, I can confidently say that shouting is a personal choice. Choosing to treat others with basic human dignity is always within our controlβ€”it’s a reflection of character, not circumstance.

Some staff get coconut head, they can frustrate you to the extent that you will loose your temper angry

Have you ever noticed that multinational companies and banks don't allow its staff to marry each other. They so discourage it.
If it eventually happens they don't stay in same environment.

During training for the job description. The PR insert it to let you know that if you must go far in your work. You have to avoid it

Its common sense expected behaviour, when you denigrate a staff in front of their spouse you inadvertently could create crisis for them at home. They will use it against each during minor quarrel which could escalate if any of them makes reference to how the other was treated in the office and they will tell their partner they deserve same level of respect given to the boss from their spouse which is not how marriages work.

Please allow the spouse to be out of sight before scolding your staff

Military don't disrespect spouses of service men and women, that's why during their promotion spouses are invited to wear the new rank insignia on their spouses because it's assumed that the spouse is one rank above the officer, it means that if you are a Brig General, your wife is a Major General.

See picture below of IGP decorating an officer, after putting the new rank he has to turn to his wife and give her a senior officer salute

It is usually a person who has low self esteem that will deliberately try to put another person down in public in order to feel good with himself

It is strongly discouraged in most standard corporate organisations including banks but I hear it happens a lot in the public sector especially in federal or state owned universities

Whether married or not, you don't have to shout at people who work!

You aren't doing them a favour! It's trade by barter!

married women are not supposed to work under any man.

They should do business ideally.
