Rivers State, there is ABSOLUTELY NO LAW that allows a president to SUSPEND a governor. A Governor is elected into office and may only be removed by impeachment.

Also, is Rivers state at war? Is there “actual breakdown of public order”? Is there a threat to the existence of the federation?

Tinubu will go down as the worst President in history. Using Wike to capture Rivers state is tantamount to inviting more crime in the state. This SOE strategy is pure foolishness on the part of FG and will not broker peace in the state.

See how long it took Yaradua to restore peace in the Niger Delta. He had to use amnesty to pacify those guys there.

Wike would be very happy now that he has finally achieved his aim but this will definitely not end well, and may even affect the economic future of Nigeria.

And there’s no law that stops the president from suspending a Governor. The president has the sole discretion to suspend or otherwise under state of emergency. As for Falz and the nonsense he wrote up there, two pipeline bombings are already acts of economic ‘war’.

To be frank, the law on state of emergency does not give the President the right to suspend the Governor and his deputy

In other words, the President suspended a democratically elected Governor, not because he has any constitutional powers to do so, but because there is no law preventing him from doing so?

Think of it this way. If there was no law on state emergency, would Tinubu have the right to declare state of emergency because there's no law preventing him from declaring one?

Lawyers and their usual tricks to deceive unsuspecting clients for the sole purpose of legal visibility and to amass wealth for themselves. Always encouraging failures to proceed to court when they already know you will loose.

Falz cannot tell me that he has suddenly developed legal amnesia because his snapshots already justifies the presidents position on the declaration of a state of emergency in rivers state.

Check my post 2 days ago, I said "a state of emergency" was the way forward. There is an occurrence and imminent danger in the state of the federation as pipelines are already being bombarded and threats flying left, right and center.

There is a breakdown of public order that poses a threat to public safety in rivers state and requires extraordinary measures to curtail an implosion and restore peace and security. The president met with the warring parties, they had an agreement but after they left the Vila, they continued fighting.

The president also received a request to impose a state of emergency from the Federal Executive Council and the legally recognised judicial arm of government in Rivers State, which is the state house of Assembly.

FALZ, THERE IS A LAW THAT JUSTIFIES THE IMPOSITION OF A STATE OF EMERGENCY AS PRESIDENT TINUBU HAS DONE. And there is no law that bars the president and commander in chief from suspending a sitting Governor.

The FALANA'S should stop misinterpreting the law. The days when everyone was ignorant of the basic laws and the name FALANA and OZEKHOME sounded like the Orunmila or Sango of the judiciary is long gone!

Nigeria has produced more legally sound citizens especially during and after the last presidential election.

We are no longer fools. Regardless of our political differences, we know the law.

Instead of owning up that there is a constitutional lacuna in the Nigerian constitution

1. The constitution gives the president the power to declare a state of emergency in any state if need be
2. The constitution is silent on what becomes of the governor of such a state as there is SILENCE in the constitution
3. In a state of emergency, another Nigerian usually from the military is deployed to manage the affairs of the state.

Two Leaders cannot govern a state. The powers of the original governor has to be depreciated
