IS NIGERIA A SECULAR STATE? Many people argue that Nigeria is a secular state, but the facts, I think, speak to the contrary. Nigeria operates 2 constitutions- the Sharia law and the 1999 constitution and its subsequent amendments. Paedophilia is subjective, as a minor in the South is not a minor in the North. You can't sue a Kano state man for marrying or having licentious sex with a 13-year-old. You dare not have anything even considered remotely on the sexual front with a girl officially less than 18 years old in the South. That, according to the regular constitution is considered as r#p£ The laws don't apply differently for nothing. You could be killed, brutally just because someone claimed or lied that you blasphemed. Even President Buhari and 98% of the Muslim elite, including professors, were in or expressed subtle for the murder of Deborah. In 2024, #90 billion was used to subsidise the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca 4.9 for Christian pilgrimage. Take it, or delude yourself, Nigeria is more Islamic than it is secular. Stronger community guidelines and moderation enforcement to address harassment, bullying, reputation savagery and trolling. Reputation System: Upvotes, badges, or karma-style systems to reward helpful s. Private Messaging Improvements: A more modern, secure private messaging system should be in place. Finally, people should earn a stipend when they make meaningful posts or contributions. I mean, adopt the X pattern. |
