For context, Russia collaborated with Nazi . They were partners. Working together. Then Hitler betrayed Stalin and invaded Russia and they became enemies. And Russia did not liberate anyone. After the war, it occupied the countries of Eastern Europe and made them vassal states of the USSR. Those countries only managed to free themselves when the Berlin Wall collapsed in 1989 and the USSR disbanded.
