well Pablo Escobar is not shipping pills globally. The drugs people use today they can buy in pharmacy. Fentanyl etc. the drugs of the past ? Had to be shipped in by Pablo aka cocaine and heroine. The premise of the argument was on if druglords are richer today or in the past. I agree 100%> If we really think about it .... during that time cocaine was the drug of choice for the rich and it was very expensive at the time. There were not many suppliers so the proceeds went to pretty much a few people like Escobar. Today there are many other drugs available from hundreds of suppliers and it is more difficult to transport and distribute coke without being caught. But in of making profits off of addictive drugs period ... the pharmaceutical corporations are tops ...the modern day drug cartels.
