Senator Olusola Adeyeye (APC-Osun Central) has been made the new chief whip of the Nigerian senate.
Adeyeye was nominated for the position by the Senate South West Caucus and was made whip after Senate President, Bukola Saraki read a letter by APC South West Caucus nominating Prof Sola Adeyeye as Chief Whip of the Senate.

Saraki’s move looks like a u-turn from his previous action when he refused to honour a similar letter sent by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress urging him to appoint select individuals as principal officers of the senate.
The new chief whip, Adeyeye, attended the University of Ibadan, where he was the editor of a students’ newspaper. When the military government of Olusegun Obasanjo lifted the ban on politics in 1978, he worked for the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), the party of Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

After Awolowo failed to be elected President in 1979, Adeyeye went abroad where he earned his graduate degree. He earned a PhD from the University of Georgia. Adeyeye later became a Professor of Biology at Duquesne University.

With this developmnt I now believe d Sarakigate crisis will die down faster. This now means d SW caucus cum Tinubu camp has now recognised Saraki as d senate president. This same man has been d preferrd candidate of d SW caucus/ Tinubu from on set but in a bid not to be accepting Saraki headship the SW didnt forward his name. Now Saraki can sleep with two eyes closed and all litigation concerning forged senate rules will soon be dropped. Honestly this Saraki is becoming more articulate and powerful than d APC had imagined and I can see Mark/Ekweremmadu hand of fellowship in of charismatic advice in all this. I pity d CCT Chairman in any case Saraki survives cos with 83+ senators ing a vote of confidence on Saraki can only mean in Obj's voice 'no shaking' or better put 'I dey kampe'.

he is the same person. It is either Tinubu has bowed to Saraki or dd man has recognised he has been Tinubu slave

Is Saraki tired? How do you know that most nigerian youth are educated Illiterate? Imagin graduates and educated kids on nairaland dont know the function of a SENATE CHIEF WHIP? GOD have mercy.
